I think there're some issues with your particular device as on other reviews the CPU's going up to 90 deg. It would be nice to check also Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 2021 which is almost same but with OLED calibrated 3.5K screen and dual fan thermal design which will boost for sure the CPU's performance and it costs a hundred dollars more.

to be clear, the MX450 can be disabled in Device Manager, though I'm not sure if it will shut off the eGPU completely or just leave it in the idle state.

Would disabling the MX450 equal to getting a SKU without the eGPU? If similar, can you retest the idle/load power draw and performance of the iGPU? If the MX450 is an older architecture and too much heat to dissipate, perhaps it's worth getting the entry level iGPU version?

It would make for an interesting comparison section

The keyboard layout is actually very good as it has full size cursor keys. Not these crippled half-size Up/Down keys most of laptop have nowadays  :-\

The Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 15 is quite something with its stylish aluminum case and 242 ppi Super Retina display. Its internals also look impressive on paper. A fast Intel Core i7-11370H quad-core CPU, an Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 512 GB SSD should result in a fast device. However, the Xiaomi laptop shows some irregularities in the test.
