Yesterday , I ordered my Xperia 1 mk III, to be delivered on 10 August.  An old Xperia aficionado, I have waited for this day!  The noise cancelling earphones I am sure will be a
nice bonus.

I've bought the Xperia 5II when it released so I'm not going to buy this, eventhough it's really amazing, I can't justify that, but I can't wait for the mk 4 generation sony phones to see what they bring to the table and when I'm getting close to needing an upgrade, been using sony phones for over a decade, bought them in their not so great times and I'm glad I've never stopped supporting them because what they are building right now has been worth the wait, now let's hope they can keep up this good work

I still rock a Sony Xperia Z4 tablet, it's 6 years old and it just works.  Family sheeple bought a new iPad early this year and apple makes some boring, heavy and laggy crap.

There are constant cries for help with crapples,I just reply that I don't use that platform, so call them.

Can't wait to use this new Sony phone!

Ouch.

I have been a Sony-only mobile phone user since Sony-Ericsson merger (formerly Ericsson mobile user). Buying the Xperia 1 and Xperia 1 II stung each time, even with included Noice-Canceling Headphone and Earphones respectively.

I will not be able to justify a $1400 - $1500 for ANY phone. As much as I hate it, it looks like it is time to switch to an iPhone.

[/What and switch to an iPhone. The company that overprices their products and are as expensive as a Sony product?! Fair enough you want to switch, but to an iPhone, as if there are no other companies that exist. If you want a phone worth the money, you're looking at the wrong company. A better option would be the likes of Xiaomi.]

So you can't justify $1400 for a phone that for some reason you are buying every year needlessly but you can justify the most overpriced phones on the market which cost more?

How much are they paying you to write this?

OK, yeah, it ticks many boxes but the price seems really insane, why wouldn't I buy the latest iPP with that amount...I have no idea what makes a product sell ::)
Of course, it makes the eventual total sales much more anticipated.

Sony has put together the first audiophile and videophile in one cell phone. LG tried but failed Sony has lifted their game with features as well as styling. They are not letting Apple or Samsung push them in their direction. They are now setting the pace with quality features in audio and video and the specs to back it up.
I want to own my music on my phone and own my photos not pay rent.
That really separates Sony from the pack in a huge way. Can't wait to get my hands on one...

No need to buy at launch, even with those freebies it isn't worth it.

Android phones depreciate in value very quickly after launch, especially the more obscure brands used by very few people e.g. Sony. You can verify this with shops that sell used or refurbished phones.

I will not be able to justify a $1400 - $1500 for ANY phone. As much as I hate it, it looks like it is time to switch to an iPhone.

Sony appears to have a smash-hit on its hands with the Xperia 1 III flagship smartphone, going by sales results taken from a major retailer in China. The new Sony Xperia 1 III is clearly attracting buyers despite its high asking price thanks to its appealing specifications and novelties, such as its 4K 120 Hz-capable display.
