No one cares about LG anymore.

Ok, maybe except a handful of hardcore LG fans and weirdos.

Lol, I'm a Sony guy and I DO care about LG. I don't have to be a weirdo to like LG. Even my Samsung and Apple friends taking a deep interest in the Wing 5G, so speak for yourself about no one cares about LG.

Either LG downclocked the chipset or there is no memory optimization done to the chipset. Either way, this can be a viable rival to the Sony Xperia 1 Mk3.

Perhaps it won't overheat like other devices do.  The mi11 being prime example

You can't believe LG's broken promises.Unlock customers have been waiting for updates over a year.I don't believe anything they say with their dirty tactics.

10% lower score doesnt meen that the phone its real performance is poor. What it can happend is its battery will last longer. Less heat... Longer lifespan.
Judging from experience that will not happen, it will heat up for no apparant reason and impact the battery. IIRC a low score on a single run suggests some lack of optimization. Case in point undervolting gets you higher performance as well as efficiency.

I guess you can still buy it if you don't care that much about sw updates. LG said they will provide updates for a few more years, but it looks more like a bet since that's one of the reasons that got them into this mess.
Genealogy speaking, it all depends on how long you plan to use the device. Obviously the resale value will be almost non existent at that time..

What's even sadder, I'm reading the LG V70 article while using my LG V60 mobile and I was planning to purchase the LG V70. 😬

The LG V70 ThinQ will probably remain an elusive smartphone, but it has appeared on Geekbench. The Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone has not hit the heights though, and is well down on other flagship smartphones released this year.
