QCOM has always bounced between foundries depending on price and delivery. This is a false narrative by someone with zero semiconductor experience.

price will be always high if GlobalFoundries continue to produce chips of 12nm (nowadays 12++).

A new report tells us that Qualcomm has secured a deal with TSMC to manufacture some parts on the latter's 5nm and 6nm process node. Whether or not this is for bolstering existing Snapdragon 888 capacities or for an entirely different line of products remains to be seen.
