How much did Mediatek pay for this ad? Even with optimization for benchmark tests, the Mediatek Dimesity 1200 falls short of Qualcomm's 7XX series processors in benchmarks.

In an effort to create the appearance of parity with Qualcomm, Mediatek overclocked their processors resulting in system instability and poor battery life.

Mediatek cant touch the powerful    Qualcomm 870 much less the mighty 888. Poor smart phone customers must endure Mediatek processors in low priced phones but anyone who has a choice, chooses Qualcomm processors.

Not to mention that MediaTek Dimensity SoCs have AV1 hardware decoding on-board which Qualcomm missed out on even with Snapdragon 888.

The Mediatek Dimensity 1200 is scheduled to debut on the Realme GT Neo on March 31. The new chipset by MediaTek appears to be an excellent performer like its predecessors, with benchmarks showing it trading punches with the Snapdragon 870.
