Pokémon Go war erst der Anfang, Niantic hat angekündigt, dass das Unternehmen bereits weitere Projekte in Arbeit hat, die gemeinsam mit Nintendo entwickelt werden. Das erste davon wird ein Augmented Reality-Spiel auf Basis der beliebten Pikmin-Serie, das voraussichtlich noch in diesem Jahr veröffentlicht wird.
