It works best if you prop it up with a typing stand, at an angle like the last photo shows.

I highly doubt it will exist in 2 generations.

You can't use it in an office with overhead lights.  You can't really use it in your lap with that goofy keyboard sucked all the way to the front.  Maybe you can use it outside with the now brighter screen.... at a desk.... on your patio.   LOL.    Will they even sell 1000 of these?

It's already on its second generation. Can't comment on all office overheads but if I angle it to reflect my window I can still easily see content onscreen at 50% brightness. Bear in mind that's on the previous generation UX481 and the UX482 goes even brighter. As for the keyboard, remember it's a small-ish laptop so you can push it back towards your knees and then it's fine on a lap.

Don't write it off without trying it, if you like dual screens on a desktop and miss them on a laptop this really is a great solution.

The ZenBook Duo series is aching for a panel provider who can mass produce OLED displays in the form factor that Asus needs. The IPS ScreenPad for the UX482 works better than it did on the UX481, but its core viewing angle disadvantages remain.
