To be honest, I never understood the obsession with reference/founder cards. AIBs are usually better (more ports/overclock) and can get to up to 2X cheaper (after rebate)

Of course it is nice to have more producers in the early days when there are shortages, but otherwise, I AIB is the smart way to go.

AMD is reportedly discontinuing production of reference Radeon RX 6000 cards, which means that many gamers will never be able to own a Made by AMD Big Navi card. The current quantity of reference cards in circulation are a one-off release and further RX 6000 cards will only be made by AMD's AiB partners.
