No PWM... that's the only thing that really matters here. Amazing. Thank you Apple.
And to those who don't experience it, no: it doesn't matter how many billion Khz a screen is flickering at, PWM is still PWM, still hurts, is an evil in this day of intense screen time. The only right move is to remove it and have a cool calm no-flicker display. Hoping this is true of the M1 Macs too.

No, the human eye can NOT distinguish the difference between 10 Khz or 20Khz. Such a high frequency vibration should not cause any harm.
It's like saying neutrinos are so natural, it nearly doesn't interfere with anything, but it is still harmful, because it's there....

"Great design"
I beg to differ. It's not a fault unique to this particular iPad (or iPhone), but designing the lens to protrude from the back, so that when horizontal the tablet rests not flat but on the lens itself, is... unfortunate. If the lens optics truly won't allow a shorter depth, then just make the whole damn tablet / phone a mm or two thicker. It'd be easier to hold on to, and could accommodate a larger battery. And maybe even a headphone jack.  ::)

How does this thing pack better speakers than most laptops? How can they be so loud and clear? I want that on my ThinkPad. It is hard to use the ThinkPad for even a video conference.

Lack of camera flash is a big bummer for me, it is useful when taking pictures of documents.

With the 4th generation of the iPad Air, the design has been revised. This brings it visually closer to the iPad Pro, with which it now shares accessories. In addition, Apple's latest A14 processor is at work in the tablet. This review will tell you what other innovations are available and whether it is worthwhile to change over.
