What the Trump administration is doing to huawei consumer products is purely anti competition. Without competition Qualcomm won't be developing new products, the losers are consumers

Huawei's mobile division may be on the verge of receiving chipsets from the likes of MediaTek and Qualcomm, according to the Financial Times. The Chinese company is ploughing on with buildings its own chip fabrication plants. It will be years before Huawei reaches parity with mobile chipsets from MediaTek, Samsung and Qualcomm, though.
