I would rather buy mediatek xiaomi device rather than s*** exynos device like expensive midrange samsung device with underpowered exynos chipset. I prefer qualcomm and kirin or mediatek after

Oh god, I never this will never happen. If Oppo will start using Swamsung's chips then I'll stop buying their phones. Even as a hardcore Oppo fan, Sami just sucks at making chips.

Of course it's good for Samsung, their foundry has excess capacity because their leading nodes are underperforming compared to TSMC counterparts. As for the Chinese companies, I could only think of this as reducing reliance on Qualcomm, but I don't see why they don't take up MTK more instead.

Since Vivo is already receiving both Exynos 980 and Exynos 880 chipsets from Samsung, it would not be surprising to see Xiaomi and Oppo joining them in the coming months. However, it seems that these two companies will only get budget chipsets from the tech giant headquartered in South Korea.
