Nice excuse to justify the laziness of Xiaomi. Looks like you don't need the latest security patches & new features, you Redmi troll.

Sure, I'm Redmi Troll:) You think I was happy, when Xiaomi update broke GPS on what was perfectly fine working Note 7 when I was in a foreign country? There is a good principle: if it is not broken- don't fix it.

then stop buying redmi phones....case closed. theybare buddy af right out of the box, and the ads just did it for mw

Redmi note 8 is one or maybe their best selling smartphone in 2019-2020 and they are sleeping on the updates. It's very disappointing that they focus on other devices other than this one that made them tons of money. Redmi note 8 users should not expect the updates anymore.   :(

It seems like they're testing a nuclear bomb not a ui update .
How could they say it will be ready in August and than they say it's still testing in September this is so desapointing

I would forgive them if they decide to leap into 11 directly instead. But then I remembered this is Xiaomi. They are notorious for sudden death of their own favourite devices, especially the mid ranger ones. Redmi note 4 mido is one of the most popular casualty. Luckily the custom rom community keep it alive till today.

If the device is not buggy- the less updates (that can also mess up the device)- the better.

Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8T owners are not going to be too happy with the latest news about Android 10-based MIUI 12 for their devices. Delays are already expected anyway and now the general manager of Xiaomi Indonesia has claimed that the company is "still testing" the firmware for the Redmi Note 8/8T.
