Like in the pc, the gpu now matters more than the cpu. At least for a gamer. I'll take 10% cpu hit if you give me a monster gpu. Cpu s are pretty solid allready. I want a competitor to adreno 640.

Doesn't look good. X1 will not make as significant a difference in single core as it will in chip area, power consumption seems to scale linearly from A78, not bad at least but they'll also have to iron out the kinks in their memory latency.

From the past 5 years history, didn't Exynos power consumption was worsen than Snapdragon.

Word on the grapevine claimed Samsung would equip its flagship phones in 2021 with an SoC featuring custom AMD GPU cores in an attempt to compete more effectively with Qualcomm. A new leak indicates that will not be the case, however, with the Exynos 1000 said to continue with a Mali GPU.
