The Huawei Mate 40 series will be the last devices to feature HiSilicon Kirin chipsets. Production will cease on September 15, effectively leaving Huawei without any chipsets going forwards. Qualcomm is lobbying the US government for a licence to supply chipsets to the Chinese company though, so all may not be lost for Huawei and its smartphone, tablet and wearable divisions just yet.
