Is it a little confusing how lower power consumption result in a almost similar battery life?

Scoring likely comes from whichever brand pays more money.

HP ProBook 450 G7 Core i7 Laptop Review: Is It Better Than The Ryzen 7 ProBook 455 G7?

Nice spin attempt on the title.   Here, I'll fix it for ya:
HP ProBook 450 G7 Core i7 Laptop Review: It Is Worse Than The Ryzen 7 ProBook 455 G7?

And your conclusion?
Is the Intel-powered ProBook 450 G7 still worth purchasing? Nvidia GeForce options are available only on Intel SKUs which will offer faster graphics performance than the integrated AMD solution for those who need it.

Here, I'll fix this for ya as well.
Is the Intel-powered ProBook 450 G7 still worth purchasing? Nvidia GeForce options are available only on Intel SKUs which will offer BARELY faster graphics performance than the integrated AMD solution for those who need it.

Also, without that heat pump GPU option, Why would anyone in their right mind pay 25% more for the Intel version than for the much faster AMD version?

Look, I can keep bashing you all day, every day, but the fact is that you have to recheck how you calculate your scores.

Intel model: 2 times slower in multithreading performance and it gets 87% when the AMD model gets only 86%? Really?

This is no more hilarious. It's closer to Userbenchmarks and it is pity. Every time you post an article about how AMD beats Intel, it looks more like a try to cover up how distorted the final scores are.

Intel model. 50% more expensive, 2 times slower. 81%
AMD: The obvious choice. 83%. Only 2% difference for a 50% higher price and pathetic performance?

You have to recheck your scoring system. While everything can be important in a laptop, because you can't change it/upgrade it like in a desktop, your scoring system could give an 80%+ score in a laptop with a dual core Atom processor and a $2000 price because everything else in that laptop, screen, keyboard, battery life, etc is perfect.

It used to be that users would buy AMD laptops over Intel knowing full well that the less expensive AMD laptop would be slower. The latest Ryzen processors have flipped this upside-down to not only be cheaper, but also faster than the Intel version. We compare the Intel ProBook 450 G7 to the AMD ProBook 455 G7 to see just how much of an advantage the latter has over the former.
