Thanks but I knew Gcam was coming all along, the question is whether Sony's RAW poses an alternative, but I'm not really holding my breath.

The Xperia 1 II has some impressive camera capabilities, upon which Sony has improved with a new update for the device. Currently rolling out in multiple regions, albeit only for single-SIM versions, the update adds RAW image format support among a few other changes.
