So whether it has "better portability" then becomes a matter of which factors you take into account. There are plenty of bags that can fit the RBS but not the G14. That being said, out of the two I would choose the G14, but I would prefer a refreshed version with a slightly better built chassis (as long as that doesn't increase the weight). Toting around a laptop that flexes when you hold or lift it is not a good feeling.Quote from: Valantar on June 19, 2020, 19:08:55RBS weight 1.48kg you can check here.Quote from: Tov on June 18, 2020, 18:36:26Last i checked, 1600g is 200g more than 1400g. Also, don't discount how size and materials affect perceived weight - most reviewers note that the G14 feels hefty - which is likely partly due to the effects of balance, leverage, etc. Smaller at the same actual weight typically feels lighter, or at least easier to handle.Quote from: Valantar on June 18, 2020, 11:32:59Quote from: ucandobetter on June 18, 2020, 10:38:27You don't seem to be very interested in applying context to your judgements. That is rather weird. Are there any other notebooks of comparable size with a better GPU? Would it at all be physically possible? Last I looked, the point of the Blade Stealth is to be thin and light, but as fast as possible within these constraints. Nothing else comes close, though if you move up in size and weight the Asus G14 is more powerful and not too much bigger and heavier, of course. But it's still significantly bigger and heavier. We can all wish for unicorns and spaceships all day long, but that doesn't change reality - and reality dictates that this is the most powerful GPU found in a laptop this size.
I do not see a reason to be so excited. Despite all feedback over the years, there is still no 1440p (or anything mac air like) display option for 13.3".
1080p/120hz display is almost as slow as G14 version. Maybe there is no better version available on the market but those 20+ms discredits any Razer claims to be a unique premium product. Also, this magnificent compact stealth unibody design comes with a pathetic 1650 Ti Max-Q performance.
The same goes for the display - while I can somewhat see the appeal of 1440p, such a panel doesn't exist, and certainly not 1440p120 at that size. We could also wish for faster response times, but that won't make them appear. This is still the best offering available.
If you would rather take the size and weight tradeoffs of a bigger laptop to get more GPU performance and a faster display, you are obviously not the target market for this laptop. And that is obviously perfectly fine - but it also means you don't have much basis for your complaints.
The only things wrong with this design IMO is the price and the lack of a Ryzen option. Otherwise it seems like a well built and well performing laptop in a very attractive form factor.
G14 weight just 100g heavier because it has 76Wh vs RBS 53Wh. It also has more powerful CPU, GPU, longer batter life, bigger screen.
If you priority the weight on the go, RBS adaptor weight 570g while G14 has PD charging build in so you can buy 65w Gan charger weight 100g resulting in overall lighter package.
Also, it feels rather redundant of you to try to make a point out of the G14 being more powerful given that I pointed out that very thing. Did you even read my post? Also, the G14 also supports PD charging, so that point is also moot. And they will both drain their batteries while gaming if connected to a 65W charger, though of course the G14 will do so quicker.
The G14 also has an even slower display and significantly worse build quality. But it is obviously a better gaming laptop and more powerful overall - it just isn't quite an ultrabook. It's impressively thin and light for what it is, but in that regard the RBS still beats it soundly. But if you value gaming performance over portability it is the obvious choice; if portability and build quality are your priorities but you still want passable gaming performance the RBS takes the crown. As long as you're willing to pay for it, that is.
