A 13.4" 16:10 laptop (like the XPS 13) would only be 3cm^2 less in display area than a 14.0" 16:9 laptop. 13.0" 3:2 (Surface Pro X) is 5.7cm^2 less. 13.5" 3:2 (Surface Book, Surface Laptop) would be 0.4cm^2 more.

These are all existing screens, but we can probably bet on Lenovo going for 13.3" 16:9, simply because it gives them the option to use a 1366x768 TN panel. I know Lenovo presents X1 devices as flagships, but we've already seen the workhorses long eviscerated. One of the few things the X1 series still hasn't severely cost cut on is the panels, and it's about time Lenovo continues their downward trend.

It has appeared multiple times now in leaks: The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano. Little is known about this upcoming ThinkPad laptop – at least until now: In an interview with a Youtuber, a Lenovo manager from South Africa has revealed a few details about this yet to be announced ThinkPad X1 – as well as its release date.
