Sony should stay the hell out of politics and this racist anti-white crap.

Was a big supporter of Sony Ericsson (not so much Sony) and considering forking out for the Xperia 1 II but now do not want to - whomever is behind these tweets is damaging the whole of Sony's reputation. Would be interesting to see the details of the face behind the twitter.
LOL, "racist anti-white crap". So you are saying that protesting the murder of a black man by white police officers, and the systemic abuse of power and use of excessive force by police towards black people is somehow racist towards white people? I would truly, truly love to see you explain that logic. Or is it racist towards white people to deny them to hurt and murder with impunity? Do white people have a right to do whatever the hell they want to whoever the hell they want? Short answer: no. And your statement makes it abundantly clear that you are part of the problem. If you actually manage to frame protests against demonstrable widespread racist abuse of power as racist itself, congratulations, you are a racist.

It's the right move, and yes, although the occasion happened in US, it could happen at anywhere too.

Sony is Asian and east manufacturer, so this kind of decision is inline with those traditions: it's a shame to celebrate something while your neighbor is mourning.

Perhaps the most right choice is to postpone selling PS5 only to US until the situation gets better, but then again, people would have just imported it from somewhere else.

What a freaking idiot, do you watch the news or live only in your little bubble!? Situations like the violent and inexcusable death of George Floyd matter, I'm sure Sony made the decision based on a ton of market research and not on morals, but it's a welcome one any way, they choose the right side to support.

The event itself does not influence sony, but they choose to be on the right side of history (probably because of market research, but hey a win is a win) and give their support which matters, when politicians think on how to handle and change this situation they'll know where the corporations filling their pockets stand, and might choose better than if left alone. Also the launch itself does not distract from the important message of the protest (again, Sony cares more about having full atention on their console, but i'll take the win anyway).

A joke is you childish opinion, yeah all lives equally matter, but the ones being discarded and in need of defense right now are the black ones

Dude get the heck out of notebookcheck, you clog up every article with your selfish, distasteful, and rude opinions just because you don't agree. Learn how to love others and comment politefully rather than out of your own spite and brokenness.
