This article is hilarious, you go to the Hepsiburada site without realizing its like the Turkish version of Ebay where random sellers put up their own adverts and more often times than not do put up misleading specs.

If you dont hear anything directly from Sony then dont believe what you hear from Joe Blow seller from random website.

The PS4 also had backwards compatability with PS3 and (a few) PS2 games with PS Now... which you have to pay for, even if you already have the games in the original platforms.

I fear PS5 will use the same shenanigans for those older games, PS4 games will run natively but I doubt they will bother with games from older generations unless Xbox starts really gaining ground, and even then it's not really that much of a selling point for the majority of people for them to spend money implementing (as "easy" as it would be, it would cost money and time to make a reliable implementation that most people wouldn't bother with)

There was never any reason for any of the consoles from the 3 major makers... Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft... to not be backwards compatible with older consoles other than to try to nickle and dime you by making you buy the same game twice+.

I personally said there should have been a lawsuit over that years ago, it is not that hard to make an emulator for an older console that runs on new hardware if you are the original console maker.

The PS5 will offer backwards compatibility for PS2, PS3, and PS4 games according to a PlayStation 5 page recently published by a large Turkish retailer. PlayStation 5 owners will apparently be able to utilize the next-gen console's Blu-ray drive to play the older titles.
