Let's see here, pull up Amazon
Silicon power nvme 1tb 3400/3000 $133
Sabrent nvme 1tb 3400/3000 $150
Samsung 970 Evo 1tb 3500/2500 $179
Adata 1tb nvme 3500/3000 $110 (actually ordering one right now because, hot damn, that's a good price)

The real kicker is that when the price of an nvme is $200 for a terabyte it's gen4, not 3

Sabrent gen4 1tb 5000/4400 $200
Corsair (with heatsink) 1tb 4950/4250 $195
Gigabyte 1tb w/hs 5000/4400 $220

What I'm trying to say here is that this isn't exciting news, it's disappointing, and for a few reasons. Firstly it means another company is coming in with a subpar piece of tech at a high price, nearly double some other competitors, and secondly it shows that the person whom wrote this article did exactly no research on the topic and doesn't understand what they are reporting on in the slightest.

Whoever wrote this article is so dumb. I can get a 1tb pioneer with read speeds at 3400 MB/s for $119.99. $200 for a TB? That's insanely overpriced. Not to mention Sabrent makes M.2 nvme 1 TB for around 120 on sale (150 regular) and it also has 3000 MB/s write speeds along with 3500 read speeds.

This is the state of the art for affordable nvme ssd ....and still half the speed necessary to be used as expansion drive in the ps5....incredible

" It's also one of the least expensive NVMe options with read rates of up to 3500 MB/s"

????
1TB Phison E12 / SM2262 SSDs cost $120-140.
This is 1TB for $200.

$80 for 256GB? What. Go home, you're drink.
I buy several 1Tb drives and connect them into raid, achieving higher speeds.

The PCIe Gen3x4 drive features 3D NAND, LDPC and five-year limited warranty as standard. It's also one of the least expensive NVMe options with read rates of up to 3500 MB/s.
