What privacy violating implications exactly? It can see through materials which are transparent. To that radiation. What a novel concept. It's just an IR camera. I'm not sure where you could use it. At best perhaps to get a better look through a flimsy dress. Because humans radiate heat. To an IR camera, we're glowing like light bulbs. Everyone knows what happens when you shine through a sheer fabric.

OnePlus has now confirmed that it will disable the color filter camera on the OnePlus 8 Pro in an upcoming software update. The company acknowledges the privacy-violating implications of the feature and will work on it further before relaunching it.
