It's not Notebookcheck's fault that HP chooses to sell terrible machines. If they want to look better they should actually offer decent hardware at the low-end. Even the more expensive variants of this 17" HP have displays under 250 nits. Stop talking out of your bowels, please and thank you.

On the positive side, the HP 17-by2437ng offers a Core-i3 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. In addition, the notebook belongs to a dying breed that still has an optical drive on board. A Windows operating system is not included.
