Very Amazing Post about this topic. Its good topic Google Pixel 4a billed to be cheaper than the iPhone SE. A US$349 base price tag means the Pixel 4a would undercut the iPhone SE by US$50, as the US$399 base iPhone SE ships with just 64 GB. Considering the Pixel 4a will likely sport better hardware than the iPhone SE, this move could make it the mid-range phone of choice in the US. Hopefully, we see more of this pricing strategy from Google moving forward.

Wow, now Google is forced to sell its phone with narrow bezels, punch-hole front camera, and other goodies for less than Apple's triple-reused iPhone 8 design. Forfeiting any hopes of earning a revenue.

Meanwhile Apple used the extra saved money to place a high-end CPU so iPhone SE gonna work much-much-much better in 2 years than Pixel 4a. And people gonna choose Apple for that reason. Google has been so outplayed... now I understand why the head of Pixel development has left the company.

First off, punch hole camera is not a "goodie", it's a major design compromise (which is terrible imo). Also they will still have plenty of profit margin (just not as huge as apple, but nothing new there).

About the iphone se working "much-much-much better in 2 years than Pixel 4a" that's completely biased and untrue. It will probably perform better, it's a flagship soc instead of a mid range after all, but for 90% of what people do on the phone (and will do on the se ridiculous small screen) there will be no difference.

Both will sell plenty, and I don't see there being a big percentage of people switching camps because of this devices

Even Google doesn't provide as long support (OS updates) as Apple for their phones.

First Pixel (2016) stopped on Android 9 (OS from 2018... last security update for Pixel was released at the end of 2019).

iPhone 6S from 2015 is still supported with current iOS13.

The Google Pixel 4a was initially expected to start at US$399, but a new leak claims the phone could be US$50 cheaper. This would make it cheaper than the iPhone SE, the biggest challenger to the Pixel 4a in the mid-range segment.
