Thanks to Qualcomm Snapdragon processors of year 2020, phones are becoming ridiculously expensive.. it's unbelievable. One plus should have gone with a Mediatek Dimensity 100 processor for God's sakes.. Snapdragon processors should take note that other chip makers will soon push them out of the mid range segment for good and since the majority of sales are mid range devices, I think that might be a problem for Qualcomm since they are not paying much attention to the mid range line up.

At this point with the very ominous ( for android!) looking I phone 12 lineup just around the corner ONE Plus is gonna need a very strong and reasonably priced mid range offering or they will be in serious trouble...Apple is looking like to want to offer something good at every price point and that they will be the value for money play...IMHO that is putting every Android phone maker on notice!

The upcoming OnePlus Z will allegedly ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC. Previous leaks hinted that the phone would feature MediaTek's Dimensity 1000 chip. OnePlus may have planned on using a MediaTek chip initially but switched to Qualcomm at the last moment.
