What's the problem? Is the battery not providing enough juice for the processor?

I recently got the Ryzen 3 version and I'm just 2 months in in usage. Just yesterday (April 8) it started lagging badly once I remove the power plug but when I plug back in, it goes to full performance. What's the problem? Is the battery not providing enough juice for the processor?

At an affordable price, Acer's Aspire 5 A515-54G brings solid gaming performance and a brand new Comet Lake processor to your desk at home. Yet we hardly found any reason to complain in terms of the performance or the screen.
