I've been waiting 3 years for my Eve V and finally they've said conclusively it's not coming, I'm not getting a refund, and it's not their problem. I feel sorry for whoever else falls for their scam like I did.

Scam. Bought my Eve V on December 4, 2017 and still have not received my refund or a computer. Got screwed on my new job because I had to borrow a laptop for months before admitting they stole my money.

To the person posting praise for this EVE scam:
Yeah, yeah,
everyone here already knows your happy story and truly admirable experience with the great EVE Tablet and its Divine Creators. You tell it everytime a bad comment (or, two, or a bunch of them) about MagicEve is posted here. So, why not let us the poor sods who lost money and keep on complaining about it, continue to just do that...complain? And why tell us to stay away from that forum? Only because they banned you as they smelled a bit of EveScamTech employee trying to lure more victims? Go back to the happy "let's build the future" forum where you belong. Guys, instead of staying away from the r/evev thread, better send a link to all people you know are interested in this ghosteve. Don't tell them anything, just let them find out on thier own and then decide what to do.

Don't give your money to them!

It all big scam.

I'm still on the fence about them creating new devices. I want a company with their device ideas and willingness to break the mold, but I don't want to support Eve Tech/Distribution.
I was one of the "lucky ones" who received my device after over a year of waiting. The WiFi chip card in it came loose about three days of owning it back in Feb/March 2019. Fine, I'll use a stupid adapter. But then in October, for no reason, the device nearly wiped itself for no reason, the keyboard stopped working, and now the device refuses to turn on. It worked for less than a year and took over a year to arrive. Meanwhile, Customer Service ignored me time and time again and still have done absolutely nothing to fix the device or send me a new one. I tried being hopeful when they were experiencing so many problems with shipping but damn I should have listwned to those who were fighting for a refund. :/

Got a Microsoft Surface Laptop since then, and despite less ports, that guy has been a lifesaver. Working just fine through months of intense college student use. And it is technically second hand.

So, if you have money to gamble, try Eve. If you want a no major risk transaction, go with a well known/already established brand.

Yikes, was considering the new Eve Spectrum monitor but it seems like a lot of folks have nothing but poor experiences with this company  :(

I see there are lots of people in my same boat. I never got my Eve V, never got a refund after months of back and forth. After trying again, I got told that I would have to provide receipts from their billing company which no longer handles Eve Tech. Then no further response. No money. No original unit. No discounted unit. Nothing.

Definitely not an up and up "company".

Well, SP does need more ports, and the slightly more decent specs should be less expensive. If this sells, it's MS's fault.

As commented earlier by someone, they conveniently tried to form a new company to shield them from their complete disaster in 2017...no one there is taking any accountability and that should be red flag #1 for any potential new client.  They won't care if you have a problem.  You can't even reach them if they don't want you to. They don't have a phone number.   Trust me when I tell you you're better off going with a known brand bc customer service is everything and these are probably the worst in that area I've ever seen.

Please do not trust this company.  The leadership, Konstantinos and Thhukka, have each over the years promised me action to get my money back as they have kept my money, without a device for over 3 years.  Their investors, them, and all associated think their customers are not important.  Customer service is a joke and may only reply in months of you're lucky.  They are not customer focused and their actions are criminal.  If you want to lose your money, please buy from them...

It seems there are a lot of upset people here but I would stay away from r/evev . Whenever anyone says anything that isn't negative about the company they perma-ban you and delete your post. This happened to me, as I was just talking about my experience with the company, having bought a V in December of 2019. (And having it delivered promptly, and working fine as of now).

Obviously the company had some difficult time with PayPal not giving them their money (which happens with a lot of tech startups that start making a bunch of money). But it seems now they're delivering their products, and trying to move forward. And I do really enjoy the V that I have. Hopefully they can move past this and make the money back to fulfill old orders with their new V perhaps, or with their new monitor.

Don't spend a dollar on this company... I've got an  Eve V and stop working after 2 months ( after 1 year delay delivery from crowdfunding) and have spent 2 years trying to have a replacement or money back.
They are thief's !!!! Not a company !!!!

Please do not ever trust this shameful excuse for a tech company. They owe hundreds to thousands of people, me included, a refund for the first Eve V. They will never own this fact and do everything in their power to deny it and avoid all responsibility for it. Please do the world a favor and never advertise for them or even run articles on them. The sooner they disappear the better off we will all be.

QuoteI would be more excited about this if it wasn't for the fact that Eve V still owes me replacement keyboard that were covered under warranty. Instead of replacing the faulty keyboard they created a shell company and then pawned off the responsibility on them. Then to add insult to injury they started selling the remainder units at a discounted price w/o taking care of the back log of replacement parts owed to myself and other customers.

Claims, Alex? Those people are building their "next-gen device" with the money from customers who never got either the product they paid for, or a refund. They told me they are not responsible for "my loss", since it's a brand new company now. Very well. Who's stopping them from doing the same thing next time? Just deliver a few tablets, enough to get the suckers send in their money (preferably wire transfer, so you have zero chances of getting your money back) and then "go bancrupt" again. They even had the audacity (after banning me from the new forum) to send me an email and ask for my support on their "new vision". Potentially interested persons, don't fall for this scam! If you decide to bankroll their founder, better keep a copy of this comment, you'll remember you've been warned. Is it a scam? Yes, if you ask me - and several hundreds of other people who lost a big chunk of money.
PS: i don't have my spectacles, so I cannot select the saddest emoticon available. Will you chose one for me, Alex? Thank you!
