I can't wait for the RTX 2080 Ti Super Mobile Max- Q.  ::)
If they release that, it will be a waste of your money. The maxQ design will limit it full potential.

Folks whatever you do, do not buy a Max-Q variant laptop. It's just trash and waste of money. Mobile 2080 Max-Q is slower than the mobile RTX 2070. Purchase or even wait for the non Max-Q versions.
Max-Q is good if you are gaming on battery power. It is more efficient to have a bigger chip at lower clock speeds. That's the purpose of the Max-Q chips. These chips have a range of TDPs which are adjusted by the laptop manufacture anyway. So its best to look at specific laptop reviews rather than only specific parts.

This is clear as mud. I thought only the 2070 super, 2080 super, and 1650Ti/1650 were new? Why are we getting increased performance from the 2060?
Looks like the new one has slightly different clocks.
Ok, so not really a new chip, just higher clocks and a higher TDP. Probably to make room for the 2060 Max-Q underneath.

The RTX 2070 MQ gets 6750 in Time Spy Graphics stock in a decent laptop (that 5946 score from the initial Gigabyte Aero is a disgrace to all 2070MQs, you should exclude it). I can get 7500 out of it with some overclocking in MSI Afterburner, so I guess I'm getting some 2070S MQ levels of performance.

So is the 2070 Super Mobile being tested here the Max-Q variant or the non-Max-Q variant?

We have exclusively obtained the first 3DMark synthetic benchmark results of NVIDIA's newly announced RTX 2070 Super and the new RTX 2060 Mobile GPUs. We find that the RTX 2070 Super Mobile trails behind the desktop RTX 2070 Super by about 10% overall. Interestingly, we find the new RTX 2060 Mobile to be appreciably faster in most tests compared to the original version and even outpacing the RTX 2070 Max-Q ever so slightly.
