The classic Xperia compact phones are not coming back. Sony is going balls deep into the 21:9 aspect ratio. Xperia 5 of 2019 was as 'compact' as you are going to get.

that's sad for sony, won't get my money :-[

Oh bummer, I was hoping for the Xperia 5 mark 2. :( The xperia 5 is the best phone I have ever had, perfect size. Just wish it had the xperia 2 mark 2 specs.

Hey editor, looks like you don't understand the smart phone brand in China. This is a brand called "SOAIY". It's not even close to Sony. Please fix it.

Thanks for bringing that up.

Any chance that could substantiate that claim?
It says "索爱" which is a ripoff of the abbreviation of the Chinese translation of Sony Ericsson. Unfortunately Sony didn't register this commonly used abbreviation which is why this imposter actually has legal rights to this name. Even more unfortunate, this imposter has been around before Sony acquired the Ericsson half, so it's quite a long-lived fake.

A new small Sony handset has been certified at the TENAA, complete with a 5.4-inch display and up to 6 GB of RAM, along with 128 GB of storage. The device, codenamed S20A, has a 4,000 mAh battery too. It is unlikely to be a new Xperia Compact, though.
