Just for the wondering: There is no glass in this display, it's entirely plastic on plastic, meaning BOE failed to steal this from Samsung and is now stagnant in their R&D.
Also according to the hands on I watched (a tech outlet based in Beijing under Phoenix Television) the crease is still palpable, there's no mention of it being smoother even.
