On Windows - HORRIBLY slow. Wiped it and installed Linux Mint (Cinnamon), and it runs much better. It's a nice simple machine with limited resources, but Windows is absolutely the wrong OS to use with such limitations.
Magical thinking: a demonstration.

the worst part is even anything core 2 or even a fast Pentium D can beat it... for reference my Pentium D 945 scored 80 cb MT, 42 cb ST, although at 95 watt

This laptop just arrived yesterday night for me. I changed from Win 10 s mode to Home version immediately. It was just so laggy until all the windows updates have been done. Then it is usable for normal operation, like web browsing, office works, etc.. For video watching, in YouTube it is good for all 720p videos; and good for normal 1080p videos; and starts to be laggy for 1080p 60fps or higher videos. The main point is you have to bear the laggy moments until all the windows updates done. It's good enough for me because I don't expect to play games on it.

wow, what a monster of cpus, thanks lisa su!
and again, how bad is your rating system, notebookchek.
NOONE should buy a device with 40 cinebench multi, NEVER.
a torture even in chrome alone.
your 74% rating and verdict is strictly anti-consumer.
its very easy to say that for the same money lenovo has much(4-5 times?) faster celeron/pentium alternatives. what stopped you? no idea.

Lenovo's 14-inch notebook is supposed to make life difficult for Chromebooks. The device scores with a successful keyboard and a one-year MS Office 365 personal license. Computing power and memory capacity are not convincing. Just under 280 euro are due for the Ideapad.
