I had the chance to borrow some airdots for a couple of days. Given that you can get them for under $20, it's an amazing deal if that is your max budget and getting them new is a must. Sound wise, they are awful. The distortion is very noticeable at 60% volume, everything sounds muddy and the highs, especially vocals, will scratch your ears.
If you struggle with money, just go to a online marketplace and get something second hand. Seriously, don't buy this.

Have been using the Xiaomi redmi airdots basic (there are some varients like ones with aptX) for 4 months. Main issue is the call quality. Have to disconnect/switch to phone mic everytime during call or other party can't hear me well..which is annoying. Lots of noise.
Sound quality when listening to music was not the best but OK for the price(got em for around 17$USD).
Connectivity issues are present and had to reset the earbuds  quite a few times but that doesn't happen if you're careful.
Battery case is light and minimalistic which is a plus.
So it depends...really

Don't believe in the article, the Airdots have extremely good audio quality. Literally. Given the price.

Three current TWS headphones in comparison. While Huawei's FreeBuds 3 and Samsung's Galaxy Buds are two popular contestants from the mid-range price range Redmi's AirDots are noticeably cheaper. The latter turned out to be a welcome surprise.
