What a load of unsubstantiated twaddle. Notebook check should stick to checking notebooks.

I disagree and agree! Let me explain... If you use the standard settings, you get normal pictures (not the worst either btw), but if you use the pro mode you get to have full control of white balance, exposure, and ISO and then you get awesome pictures. But even better... Some mods managed to get Gcam working for the RN*PRO. Now it makes super awesome pictures :-) The problem is not with the hardware but with the software.

I really like how everyone who owns this smartphone is salty and would rip the writer's head off, just because he said something bad about it. I recommend you go check out the DxOMark review. Not that the RN8 Pro is bad, but there are some similarly priced phones that do take better photos. The 64 MPx camera is just a gimmick.

I disagree with you, the redmi note 8 pro camera is very good. the resulting image is very satisfying to me. if we see the results on the screen of android and laptop shows the same results.
I really do not believe this article. I have tried various other brands whose camera results are only good when viewed on my Android screen, and very bad when we see it on a laptop.
if you don't believe it, please visit and see the results of the redmi note 8 pro camera on my Instagram.

I'm sorry, but you probably don't have very high standards when it comes to smartphone camera photography. Low light photography is poor. But as long as you're happy then it's all good.

I bought this phone for my wife for Christmas and she loves it and it takes great photos and has very good battery life too. Also good performance and overall it can easily compete with much more expensive brands.

I believe this is paid review, if not then you are stupid enough to write this. Which phone are you comparing with RN8 Pro? This is best phone under 14K. Forget about DXO, in real life this phone can taken great photos and works like a charm. You should take down this post to stop the humiliation.

You really shouldn't be reviewing smartphones if this is your unbiased review of the Note 8 pro. You goofed big time and I'm disappointed

I use this phone from 5-th of Jan, 2020. When I zoom on a object to take a photo, I have to hold the phone stable, it means that you should follow the rules for take a photo with zoom. In the other hand, in low light mood you should change the setting. I am very happy to buy this phone. All spec are great for 200$ phone and comparable with flagship of other brands. The last thing, the battery is awesome. :)

@Alex Alderson
Your biased opinions should not be expressed. It's clear that you are hating on Xiaomi for providing a wonderful phone with great quality while keeping their prices low. You should be ashamed for trying to sabotage this product.

I got this phone on the 2nd of January 2020.
The phone is awesome, and the camera is GREAT as well, much better camera quality than the iPhone 8's and below. From what I hear tho, there are additional apps that make the camera better, slow motion video.
Great phone.

Nice phone. If you want a good cam buy mi 9 lite. The 64mp samsung isocell sensor sucks. This phone has a better gaming performance than mi 9 lite.
But mi 9 lite has snapdragon, so Gcam works fine... Mi 9 lite has hdr super amoled display way superior than this device. redmi note 8 pro is IPS LCD while mi 9 lite is SUPER AMOLED. With HDR support.

Mi 9 lite uses Sony's 48MP imx 586 sensor. You can check gsm arena cam comparing tool. You will see that redmi note 8 pro's cam is lacking detail despite higher MP, noise and bad color production (blacks look purplish)...

And the low light performance sucks on redmi note 8 pro. Other than that solid device tbh.

Would i buy it hell no...

I need AMOLED/OLED Display with hdr. I need microsd, I need 3.5mm plug, I need snapdragon not mediatek soc and I definitely need a flagship level cam.

Mi9 lite is good to go but I'm waiting for mi 10 lite which will have sony imx 686. Even a better cam. Almost iPhone killer grade..
