This is the main reason why this year I'm leaving Samsung for good and go to Apple. They treat us like crap. They lie when they claim that they hear their customers. People have been bragging for an extra year since the S6. They want to impress us with hardware and, hardware without updated software will become less useful to junk. Two year is a mediocre joke for the prices they are asking. They want to copy Apple in everything even their prices now. Actually, they are obsessed withApple. BUT, in their update agenda they simply ignore Apple because at the end of the day, it's money talks not customers. Do us a favour Samsung and p*** off.

If you have the s8 and you have some money to put down get the s20. At least they make a nice trade in offer if your phone is in the last few years.  Boom! android 10 in your hand.

Counselor answer
Dear Muhammad,

Thank you for contacting Samsung Electronics Australia.

We understand your preference on having the latest software version on your Galaxy S8+.

We have checked and confirmed that the Galaxy S8+ is not included with the Galaxy models that will receive the latest software version due to hardware limitation that was used on the Galaxy S8+ and below models.

It's really disappointing.
iOS gives support for at least 5 years to iPhone. No wonder why people change to iPhone.
So pathetic......

Well my Wife's Note 8 received the Android 10 update the end of December. So it is out for that phone.

You sure about that, mate?

So, really, you are just guessing that S8 will be updated but you have no credible evidence whatsoever.  This was entirely pointless.

Despite not being officially confirmed, the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 appeared to have missed the cut for upgrades to One UI 2.0, Samsung's custom version of Android 10. While some people had accepted the notion of their two-year-old handsets remaining on Android 9.0 Pie, Samsung has fuelled speculation that both could yet receive Android 10 at some point this year.
