If you have hyperfine 108MB resolution, none of it matters if your camera is not hyperstabilized with a hypersmooth and perfectly focused lens that includes near-perfect achromatism. Of course, the media always hypes these things as if MP is what matters. Further, for all that, the best photography comes from good photographers, not good cameras. I would give my Samsung S5 to an excellent photographer and you can bet that 99 times out of 100 that person will get better photos than any typical fanboy non-photographer with the S11 108MP.

Of course, how does the obsequious press cover the issue? Oh, it is ALL about the megapixels. Never mind how many crappy photos people ACTUALLY take and never mind how much more memory they fill. It is good to fill memory - then the media can sell ads all about buying "better" memory!

The purpose of the 108 MP is to group them together to make a larger pixel that absorbs more light = much better low light photo/videography.

This isn't about resolution wars. That is so 2000. The war is now about low lights. Get with the times bro.

I agree with the first commenter but I'm not so rabidly anti camera phone users. However. I have a 52 mp 5DSR  Canon and cannot shoot much slower than1/60th without a tripod because the camera 'sees' my breathing as it is so accurate.
If you cannot control the shutter speed the next question is how do you attach a phone to a tripod to take pictures ? And why?
