How is the title "bait and switch?" It may not be the best, but Apple admitted they were tracking iPhone 11 users after denying it first. Then they offered a reason for the tracking.
I'm against clickbait too, but this ain't it, chief.
Also, I don't think it's being unfair to Apple. Apple denied they were tracking users without their consent, playing it off as "typical behavior" (or something to that effect). It's good they finally owned it instead of saying they weren't tracking people and to not worry about it.

Agree with previous commenter. Bait and switch title is unfair to Apple and is an indicator to readers of low quality news source.

Bait and switch title to drive reads. Thanks for the information but it is unfair to Apple to do this kind of thing. If regular drive action what is a company supposed to do?

Apple has finally admitted to secretly tracking the location data of iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max users. The company stated that the tracking was necessary for the Ultra Wideband (UWB) hardware in the 2019 iPhones to meet regulatory standards. Some countries require that UWB radios be disabled within their borders. Apple further stated that a future iOS update will allow users to fully disable this location tracking.
