S.yu, shut the f*** up, what are you saying? Qualcomm is a what? That's the stupidest thing I read in a while. You can keep your shitty mediatek soc's, LMFAO.

Yeah, a Mali gpu beating an adreno 640? In your dreams 😂😂 if you base your opinion in antutu results, well, shame on you. Antutu is a proven joke as a benchmark.

I wouldn't wish Mediatek chips on my worst enemy.

So this is not a big deal just because qualcomm hasn't released a new design????
This is a big deal, this means we can finally go back to $600 flagships! Or at least decent improvements, not like the SD800, 810, 820 and now the 855+! Seriously.. what innovations, they've all been expensive letdowns. How many phones have been ruined by running Qualcomms hot products? Of course you know the Asus ROG is a damn steal when you compare it to the $1k Galaxies, Pixels and IPhoneys.
Qualcomm has become the troll of mobile! They don't release any drivers, they muscle the oems, and when you manage to bully APPL that might mean you've become too evil. Google has also become a big problem with all the damn changes that don't amount to much. Like switching from dalvik, doing full encryption, moving the icons around, treble, and all the stupid like things. It's funny how Amazon seems to manage just fine a mature stable android release.
There's been $600 flagships all along, from Xiaomi etc.
OTOH not a single MTK model has been competitive in their intended segments for as long as I can remember, you realize that "Helio" was supposed to mean flagship? That line utterly failed and has been demoted to midrange shortly after release, until now when they come up with yet another fancy name for what they claim to be flagship. I'll need to see more tests before I believe them this time.

I consider Antutu the least reliable/consistent mobile benchmark, but still it's no surprise that this beats chips using older core designs.

MediaTek finally demonstrates that it can design efficient and affordable flagship SoCs that can easily compete with Qualcomm's and HiSilicon's flagships. Apart from the integrated power efficient 5G modem, the latest MediaTek SoC offers an advanced gen 3 APU for A.I-powered applications. It will also be among the first chips to integrate the new Mali-G77 GPUs.
