Honestly I don't think I'd want to pick up the first gen when they launch anyway ...I'll stick with the pro for another year or 2 until they work out the links, cuz I'm 100% sure both sony and Microsoft are rushing to get these new consoles ready for next year's holiday launch and there will (as always) be some hiccups - y'all can be the test drivers lol

No ... They would dot his if they were dumb.... They don't need to push the PS5 adoption... The console will practically sell itself... What idiot wrote this arrival... That's asking Sony to give ps5s away at a discount and ruin their rep. Consoles are meant to be kept not traded in.

Dumbest suggestion ever.
There is no need for SONY to do this unless the console is more expensive than whatever MS is going to roll out but I think they will both be the same price on release date.

How great would it be to be able to trade-in your OG Playstation 4 for an instant $75 off the Playstation 5? A Sony-run trade-up program for existing PS4 owners could make the inevitably high launch price of the PS5 easier to swallow especially since the new console will be backwards compatible anyway.
