2. The largest smartphone sensor was the 1" in Panasonic CM1, the 808 had 1/1.2"(4/5") which is only very slightly larger than HMX's 3/4". The pixel pitch of the HMX is exactly the same as the 48MP IMX586 used in many mid-high end smartphones before, however their software is rather barebones and that's why we need Gcam.

The HMX is the largest smartphone CMOS in production, not as small as its competitors, also Fujifilm's team of clowns in China has pulled off various stunts in the past, including trying to mislead amateurs into believing their APS-C models are medium format.
