I'm seeing the same i5-g4 throttle badly in an HP laptop from Costco.  Its either listen to fan all the time or experience throttling.  So a larger laptop isn't helping.

This article makes no sense.

Please compare new fanless i5 Surface Pro with old fanless i5 Surface Pro.

Comparing new fanless i5 Surface Pro with old active cooling i7 Surface Pro is plain "non-intelligent".

CPU performance can be all over the place on the Surface Pro 7 Core i5. When at its best, multi-thread performance will be most similar to the Ryzen 5 3580U on the 15-inch Surface Laptop 3. But if at its worst, performance can be about 10 percent slower than the average Core i7-8565U.
