Until most consumers prefer upgradability over portability, you'll be seeing a lot more notebooks with soldered hardware.

Oh yes, it was a total disaster to show a 19.9 mm thick laptop, the 17.9 mm one will be definitely a better experience  ::)

Lenovo updates its affordable ThinkPad E series with Intel Comet Lake. The new models ThinkPad E14 and ThinkPad E15 are more than simple CPU updates though, as Lenovo has redesigned them compared with their predecessors ThinkPad E490 and ThinkPad E590 as well.
