Quotethe IPS panel is an upgrade from the GL73's TN display

The MSI GL73/63 has a 120hz option that is TN, but with a colour gamut of 100% sRGB and 89% (75% according to notebook check) aRGB; MILES better than the s*** 61% sRGB IPS panel.

Get your fucking facts right. A 61% sRGB IPS cannot even compete with a 60Hz TN panel with 100% sRGB coverage.

Also, the GL65 covers a hole, making cooling worse!

Actually good TN screen: N173HHE-G32
Horrendous IPS screen: B173HAN04.7

Thanks for all your hard work in reviewing this laptop an all the detailed information you provided I found it very helpful.

However, it is a bit confusing because you indicated there are better choices but all of your comparisons charts have MSI GL75 9SEK near the top of the laptops you compare it to for the price/hardware.

MSI gaming laptops do seem to run hot, it should probable be run on a table top with an external fan on it to prevent damage overtime to the internal fans.

I guess your main issue with this laptop is the external  30hz hdmi, however, I think the other external port even the older DisplayPort 1.2 is capable of 3840×2160, 4K, at 60 Hz; or 1080p resolution at 144Hz.  mdp v1.3 came out in 2014 so for whatever reason probable marketing MSI is choosing to put older external display chips in several of their models thus those folks looking to setup uhd external displays with high Hz would have to purchase the much more expensive GS, or GT versions of this laptop instead of the GL version.   Otherwise it looks amazing to me for the price/hardware.

I notice that in your reviews, "Prime95 + FurMark" test is abnormal.
"Prime95 + FurMark" is supposed to be a 100%CPU & 100%GPU load but in your test the GPU load is very low(36% in this review) , the GPU power is much lower compared to full load. So the "Prime95 + FurMark"(combined CPU&GPU stress test) is more likely to be a CPU stress test.
And this problem have been occured in lots of recent reviews.

The MSI GL75 checks all the right boxes for a 2019 mid-range gaming laptop. Features like a high-refresh rate display and a per-key RGB backlit keyboard are nice additions, but fan noise and coil whine spoil an otherwise adequate package.
