Hearkening back to the early days of RPGs and channeling their 8-bit art styles and epic-yet-simple storylines, Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX is an interesting game that tries to add a dash of the modern to a tried-and-true gaming genre. While the game offers some fun early on, gameplay grows stale and repetitive.
