Wow, this article really pissed off the AMD fanboys. A bunch of accusations of bias, but none of them can't point out a single wrong here.

What kind of workloads you guys run in the browsers in parallel? I usually focus on one tab a ta time. Like a Google Sheets spreadsheet or whatever. I always look at the single core index because it doesn't matter how good the CPU is at multiprocessing if JS can only leverage a single core while I wait for it to load (limitation of the JS engine).

Hi guys.

This benchmarks are mine. MSI sent me the new Prestige with 10th gen CPU and I tested it. If you want more info about this CPU you can check it in my youtube channel, try to search "10710U Eseka".

Greetings.

C'mon single core performance is also important as many apps still aren't multithreaded. That Comet Lake U series beats Coffee Lake H series in single core performance is good improvement.

What, you don't use browsers in your daily life? Most good modern ones are multi-threaded for heaven's sakes!

Well at least I know which website to avoid in the future.

The scores you got are very low for a 6 core cpu, even if it is U series, and you probably did those tests while on "comfort" performance mode on MSI Prestige 15 (assuming this because this laptop is just an iteration of PS63, so even power profiles on MSI's Creator Center will be similar), so clockspeeds are limited because this mode limits the cpu to 15W (just like on PS63), try putting the laptop on "Sport" mode and you'll see that the results will be very close to a typical i7 8750H. 1200 on singlecore and ~ 4300 on multicore is what an i7 8565U  can do.
If you wanna do tests and surprisingly brag about low results (while you definitely know that the scores you got aren't good for a 6 core cpu), at least do them right.

very biased article, I wondered how much money did you guys get from intel...

comparing intel 15W mobile processor with amd desktop one (r5 3600) power consumption and then call it a day, just wow

come on guys I loved your detailed reviews of hardware but this is just hit the low ground

Of course mobile and desktop CPUs are not comparable. Mobile CPUs are limited by thermals and power. I see this clickbait worked and triggered a horde of AMD fanbois.

You know how lame Intel is? Talking up SINGLE-CORE performance for a SIX-CORE CPU, when multi-core performance is crap.

Who the hell cares about single core performance nowadays? Modern workloads are multi-threaded & multi-core. Modern browsers like Firefox or Chromium based ones have been so for a few years already. Most people have so many tabs open in multiple browsers all the time. I have more than 50+ tabs in at least 2 browsers open all the time. Not to mention multiple other programs in the background running processes.

Why the hell would people pay so much for a 6-core CPU just for single-core performance?

Intel - if you are unable to make any decent multi-core CPUs that can multi-task at the level of AMD's latest & greatest, cut out the money grabbing BS and just make reasonably priced duo-core CPUs with your overclocked/overvolted single-threaded architecture for the market that cares about that - like whiner-moaner type gaming fangirls who don't understand what multi-tasking means.

I have stopped following this website as most of its articles are very biased. Whenever I come back to see if they have improved, I see this becoming more and more of a problem. Bye.

Well you would hope it would beat the 3700u considering it's old "12nm" Zen+ tech.

This article twists data like a bag of Twizzlers.
This isn't some crazy new piece of innovative tech, it's a money grab in a world of sub-par processing.

Intel is releasing their 10nm chiplets in a world of 7nm processing, hoping their blue shield of blind faith will give them a couple more years of profit, before they have to refocus their attention on making processors again.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sad about it too. I've been an Intel fanboy since the Pentium Vs. Athlon days.
Three way they're handling competition in industry is disheartening. It's like they're not even trying anymore.
It's about time they were taken down a notch, so stop spinning their regurgitated micro advances in micro tech as innovation, and call it what it is.
A low dollar budget CPU that can't handle heat well, and won't outgame your smart phone.
Jesus! It's like apple is running Intel now.

I don't see AMD being that worried, considering that this processor will only be good for gaming laptops, which don't make up much of total sales. Nice single core score, but overall performance and a lack of integrated graphics makes this a pretty niche product.

An Intel Core i7-10710U processor has been spotted being put through its paces on both UserBenchmark and Geekbench 5. The energy-efficient six-core CPU, which was tested in MSI's new Prestige 15 laptop, particularly shines in single-core benchmarks where it manages to outclass the quad-core Ryzen competition from AMD.
