Hey,

Nice article. I love your in depth reviews!

I have a serious doubt regarding the dual GPS function. You mention that the Note 10+ does not support dual band but I have tested with GPSTest on my new Note 10+ 256Gb (SM-N975F/DS) and it shows L5 & E5a as active, doesn't this mean that dual band is working?

thanks
No, L5 ist part of GPS and E5a of Galileo. Dual-Band means that two bands of the same GNSS are active. E.g. E1 and E5a for Galileo.

Hi Daniel

Yes, this is what I'm saying. In GPStest I have active L1 & L5 and E1 & E5a. In my LG G7 with the same GPStest app I cannot see/connect to any L5 or E5a bands, unlike the Note 10+

How did you confirm that your tested Note 10+ did NOT have dual frequency?

Regards
I also use GPSTest. I have tested it again and now the Dual-Bands are shown. I will correct it. Thanks for the hint.

Schade.. 😟
