My eyes at the moment are on OmniVision. That moment when I saw their OV48C and OV64A sensor, I knew that there was a major third player out there worth looking at.

But they're not capable of optimizing camera quality on their smartphones... My 5 II can barely focus on Camera Pro app and 80% of the photos have missed focus :(

Sony remains the number one supplier of camera sensors to smartphone OEMs globally, according to Strategy Analytics. Coming in a distant second place is Samsung with Omnivision in third place followed by other vendors.
