Based on previous years, Apple will probably have:

iPhone 12 SE
iPhone 12 Mini
iPhone 12
iPhone 12 Pro
iPhone 12 Pro Max

But it will depend on how they'll mix features...namely screen sizes, camera configs, processors, etc. And that the "SE" may not be different from the "Mini" variant or just be (more) basic.
iPhone SE was released earlier this year. I'm not expecting to see a replacement this fall. And I would expect them to keep the iPhone 8 style body for a while. The outdated body is what allows them to sell it so cheap (it minimizes competition with the more expensive models). And there was a rumored "SE Max," with its body probably based on iPhone 8 Plus (IIRC Q1 2021). Yes, in the future, the coming mini could donate its body to SE (and the standard iPhone to the successor of "SE Max"). When Apple moves on and that design is outdated.

Frankly, the rumours that there will be four iPhones 12 (two standard, two Pro) and one will be called mini have been around for ages. Well, not literally, but IIRC, it was rumoured in 2019 already. And I don't exactly watch rumours (but I'm very keen on compact phones).

Apple is all set to release the world's first-ever 'mini' iPhone. A new leak suggests that Apple's 2020 smartphone lineup will consist of the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All four phones are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
