This. As yet unnamed. Better description would be "will never be released". They pulled a shady trick and forgot to mention the overclock or the water CHILLER (not cooler) that was used. And yes, there is a difference.

You guys really dropped the ball on the research with this article.

This is such a bait article... Don't compare AMD actually being honest about their cooling to achieve their results to Intel pretending their chip was running 5GHz unassisted.

One of the new Threadripper CPUs beat the as-yet unreleased 28-core Intel "HEDT" chip previewed at Computex for Cinebench scores. In addition, it was overclocked to 5.1GHz while doing so. Unfortunately, as with the Computex performance, the conditions involved were not conventional.
