Rooting any phone should not void warranty, ffs. It should only void any software related warranty, but hardware should still be supported. What is next, computer companies declining warranty because user installed linux on it?

Root on Android looks to be a dying art, with fear of voided warranties and SafetyNet restrictions holding users back. A Pixel 2 owner has reportedly gotten confirmation from Google's customer support which clarifies that rooting the new Pixels is not cause for a warranty void.
