The E 5470 with 68xxHQ comes with FHD Touch, the E5470 64xxHQ comes with FHD nontouch- thats what my researches results. The 5470 was reviewed in the past a several times and im glad finally the review for the quad core came out.

I searcherd a long time for a best value laptop in size/power/application/mobility optimum. Now the E5470 HQ will be working with me soon:))

Cheers

Any processor can be paired with any screen you want. Like other business laptops, the Latitude line has always been very flexible when it comes to configuration options. For each laptop, there're usually 7-8 'pre-configured' models and 4-5 'customizable' ones. In the customization page, you get to customize all except for the processor.

Some FHD are touch, others are not. They also have different antennae (whether you order WiGig or WWAN) and optional cameras (IR) for the newer version.

It seems that both the panels the local store sells are not touch. Thank you for the info!

I don't get it, it is my understanding that this machine was released a year ago, it even doesn't appear on Dell's website anymore, so why it was reviewed only now ? Am I missing something?

Another question, I found this model in a local store with 6820HQ, 8GB of ram and SSD of 256G (class 20) and it seems that there are two different  FHD IPS panels available.. Since I have not found any evidence that this model comes with different FHD panels, I suspect that the local store doesn't know exactly what it sells.. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Workhorse with minor drawbacks. A business device for everyday use: Dell attaches right here with its Latitude 14 E5470. Security features, strong processor, plenty of working memory, and a solid state drive are installed. These are good prerequisites for a business laptop. However, not all that glitters is gold, and thus our review sample has to accept some criticism. Read just where these shortcomings are found in our in-depth report.
